NANOBOTS

Violin, Cello, Double Bass, Piano and Bandoneon

Nanobots is a suite of miniatures commissioned for the Britten Sinfonia, in collaboration with the Ensamble Nuevo de México.

Nanobots are machines of microscopic proportions, so small that they must be measured in nanometers, which is equivalent to one millionth of a meter.

Nanorobotics is the branch of engineering that seeks to manufacture robots of nanometer dimensions. In reality, nanotechnology is still in its infancy, but it has the enormous potential to build from atoms, which in principle would make it possible to make all kinds of things, such as chemicals, biological agents, mechanical cells, etc. Nanobots are nanometer robots that will be able to directly attack bacteria and viruses or build other machines and objects from atoms.
